Our firm collaborated with a Portland architecture firm for this fast-paced renovation project for Oregon State University as they provided an interim home for the OSU INTO Pathways program for international students. Reed and Heckart Lodges were built in 1954 as cooperative housing; these buildings underwent an extensive renovation with full upgrades to the architectural, structural, energy, and MEP components using equivalent LEED certification guidelines, and meeting requirements of OSU’s Historic District.
We provided programming, space planning and interior design for the project, and coordinated implementation of INTO international standards with the client, located in London, England. New Classrooms, Faculty and Administrative Offices, lounge areas, Learning Resources and public spaces were updated to reflect the INTO program’s edgy colorful international brand. Exposed ceilings carry power and data trays; INTO accent colors are incorporated throughout.
